Longing

I have not managed to paint much this week.A painting below is just an attempt, beginning of the thought, continuum of my latest inspiration which is a fire. It can be a result of my thoughts and feelings which I have been through this week. It can be something completely different for you or maybe the same. I thought at the beginning that my painting will be just an effect of my lack of time this week. But I think that it is an effect of everything what I have experienced from the past till now.
I have missed painting this week so much but at the other hand my time have been filled with other experiences which brought new inspirations and ideas. I feel grateful for this week in some way.
Love to you all.

Elements.

We went to the Pentlands at the weekend. Scott and his brother set up a fire. It was a beautiful fire. I realised that I have not been sitting in front of the fire for years. I nearly forgot how magical experience it is. I nearly forgot that feeling not only of warming up yourself but mostly of being connected and supported by fire, by nature. When I was sitting in front of the fire I felt so peaceful and safe. I felt protected by the fire. It was like a gift which earth offered to me or shared with me to nourish my soul and fill with inspiration. I nearly forgot about four sacred elements. Fire, water, air and earth. How much our life depends on these forces? How precious and magical they are. Thank you four elements. I called my latest painting 'Summer'. I wanted her to be  full of light, delicacy, heart and understanding. I hope you can see it in her. Have a beautiful week.

Painting

I had an intensive week not as much with painting (I was a bit limited with time) as thinking what painting means to me. What painting means to me? Painting means a lot for me . Painting is a expressing love to myself and life. It is sharing myself with others and learning to love myself and life more. Painting is an endless lesson for me. It is a lesson of being aware and seeing more. Painting is like a meditation. It calms me down and make more patient. Painting is a way to save my memories. I am sure I will find more meanings through my painting journey. All these thoughts and meanings came to me during painting my last portraits.
What painting means to you?

Faces

Hello beautiful souls. It is funny how life can surprise sometimes. I decided to take a little break with painting portraits and then I found '29 Faces Challenge' which sounded so inspiring, interesting and challenging at the same time. So I will carry on with painting portraits for a while. Every portrait like every painting tells a different story. Every portrait is a challenge, attempt and chance to tell something. My latest portrait tells a story about delicacy, natural beauty and moments when we look at things through heart and wisdom.  Also I would like to thank you all for your comments, sharing kind words and inspiring thoughts. I really appreciate them and make me feel so grateful and happy as well. It is nice to follow other blogs and be inspired, learn and share moments of their journeys too.

I and Scott went to Botanics today and we had a nice and magical walk. We both fell in love in that little, cute Robin. Have a lovely week. Love and blessings to you all.

Geography

Aloha beautiful souls. It is amazing how one inspiration can be a beginning for next one. I am moving in my art around light and dark, birth process and journeys. This could be such a  precise description of my winter time. I am following my journeys in art. There are so many of them. They are deep and symbolic. Each of them is precious and unique just like life and creation in itself. I am happy to experiment with maps in my art as well. I studied geography and I forgot how much I used to enjoy it. It is nice to combine these two passions together. After 'A Journey to Birthlin' (which I posted on Monday) I painted a portrait on the Berlin city map and this time I called her 'Berlin'.
